About Kyle

Kyle Hamilton is a writer and producer based in New York City with over a decade of experience in scripted narrative, documentary, and digital video production. Most recently, he spent eight years working under showrunner Chris Brancato on premium television series and feature films, including Godfather of Harlem, Hotel Cocaine, and The Westies for MGM+.

While studying Film & TV Production at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Kyle began his professional career as a videographer and producer at Forbes, where he developed, shot, edited, and published digital video content in a newsroom. After graduating, he became the Executive Assistant to producers Scott Rudin and Eli Bush, managing a support staff handling 30+ simultaneous productions in film, TV and theater. He went on to produce Grass Is Greener, a Netflix documentary examining the history of cannabis in America and the ways race, music, politics, and the criminal justice system have shaped its prohibition and legalization. The project deepened Kyle’s interest in stories that explore social justice and the forces that shape American institutions. These themes have continued to run through much of his work in television and film.

Kyle grew up in Dallas, Texas where he first found his love for filmmaking through school projects, including a documentary Catching Fish that he produced and directed for Rainbow Days Inc., a nonprofit serving homeless families in the Dallas area.
